Supported platforms and requirements
CodeTwo Public Folders is designed to work in Windows operated networks. The program was created specifically for organizations without Exchange Server but it can be used alongside it. There are two main components that have to be installed: the Syncing Master and Client Apps. They have different purposes (learn more) and slightly different requirements. Study the description and table below to get an overview of supported systems and requirements enabling its smooth and uninterrupted operation. The software requires installation of both components.
|Server side:||One instance of CodeTwo Public Folders Syncing Master must be installed within local network.|
|User side:||End-users must install Client Apps: Outlook Add-in for Outlook and/or Mobile Apps for Android / for iOS.|

|Required permissions:||Local Administrator rights are necessary to install and use Syncing Master module.|
All 32-bit and 64-bit Windows editions starting XP SP3 / Windows Server 2003 R2 SP2 up to Windows 10 / Windows Server 2016(*) are supported.
MS Outlook is not required for Syncing Master to work.

|CodeTwo Public Folders Outlook Add-in and File Sharing App|
|Required permissions:||Local Administrator rights are necessary to install Outlook Add-in and File Sharing App. The software will be installed for all users automatically. All users can run the software (read on Users tab in Syncing Master to find out how to limit access to specific users).|
All 32-bit and 64-bit Windows editions starting XP SP3 / Windows Server 2003 R2 SP2 up to Windows 10 / Windows Server 2016 are supported.
MS Outlook is required for Outlook Add-in. All versions of Outlook from 2003 to 2016 are supported.

* If you’re using iOS 11, the Sync from iPhone and Sync to iPhone options are limited. No data is synchronized from iPhone devices. Data synchronized to iPhones can only be accessed from the CodeTwo Public Folders app (it is not visible in iOS native folders).
|Notes and warnings:||Outlook Add-in works only with Outlook for Windows. Outlook for Mac is not supported.|
