Trial version

The trial version of CodeTwo Backup can be used for free for 30 days. During this period, the program offers the same functionalities as the full, licensed version, with the following exceptions:

  • you can restore up to 5 items from each backed-up Exchange mailbox or public folder,
  • you can restore up to 5 items from each backed-up SharePoint list, library or folder,
  • you can export to PST up to 5 items from each Exchange mailbox or public folder.

Once the 30-day trial period is over, the already backed-up data and archives stay intact, but you will not be able to run new or existing jobs anymore. To continue using CodeTwo Backup, you need to purchase a product license key and use it to activate the program. All your settings will be kept and ready to use after the activation.

Important

If you are activating the program to the full version before the trial version expires, make sure to stop all active backup jobs. Otherwise, the licenses will be automatically assigned to the mailboxes, public folders or SharePoint data included in these jobs.

If you are activating the program to the full version after the trial version has expired, all backup jobs had already been stopped. The licenses will be assigned to the mailboxes, public folders or SharePoint data included in these jobs as soon as the jobs are started (either manually or automatically). If you have configured activity periods for your backup jobs, you can check the time and date of the next scheduled start of these jobs on the Jobs tab, in the Next start column (Fig. 1.).
