No third party involved
The migration process via our software does not involve any additional cloud services or any other third party products. After you install and configure the program in your environment, it sends your data directly to the cloud from the source server. You are not prompted to reveal your login info or any other confidential data to any third party during the process.
Secure authorization with Office 365 via OAuth 2.0
CodeTwo Office 365 Migration does not use or store any credentials to establish a connection with Office 365. Instead, the program uses access tokens via the OAuth 2.0 authorization framework to authenticate access to Exchange Online and perform any permitted operations on source or target Office 365 tenants (access mailboxes, list users, perform the migration, etc.). CodeTwo Office 365 Migration does not use Basic Authentication when connecting to Exchange Online.
All information stored locally
The software is installed in your organization, locally. It means that the data on which it operates is not accessible from outside the organization. Log files generated by CodeTwo Office 365 Migration are also kept internally. If you need support, you may choose to provide us with the logs for diagnostic purposes. There is no other way for us or anyone else to access data stored by the program.
No accidental data loss
Sometimes, during the migration, some files might go missing, but not with CodeTwo Office 365 Migration. The software maintains a passive access to a source server data, which means that no matter what happens, our application does not modify or delete any source items.
Encryption
All communication between CodeTwo Office 365 Migration and with your Office 365 tenant is always fully encrypted. Secure connection ensures that your data is not intercepted or viewed after hitting the Internet. As a result, only mailbox owners can access the content of their mailboxes.
Supports multi-factor authentication
The program supports multi-factor authentication (MFA). This means that if you have MFA enabled for your Office 365 accounts, you can use our program without any interruptions. Thanks to that, you can migrate from and to Office 365 mailboxes without compromising your organization's security.
No remote access to your network
Our migration software does not enable any remote connections to your network. You can grant our technicians access to your environment if you encounter technical difficulties and need assistance, though. In such case, our technicians may connect with you using Skype for Business.
Comprehensive reports
You can easily monitor the migration process thanks to detailed reports. You do not even have to watch the program itself, just set email notifications and you will immediately know if there are any problems with the migration. CodeTwo Office 365 Migration provides you with enough information to find out which items in which mailboxes could not be migrated. Finding the problem source and fixing it is simplified this way.
