The Dashboard tab shows the progress of your migration jobs and all program notifications (Good and Bad news). This is also where you can configure both source and target server connections and check your licensing information.
Before you configure a migration job, you need to connect to your source and target environments using dedicated server connection wizards. They’re very easy to use – the wizard guides you through each step and lets you configure the connection automatically or manually.
Create a migration job to specify what should be migrated. You can migrate entire mailboxes and public folders from on-premises Exchange servers, or emails from IMAP platforms like Google Workspace or IBM/HCL Notes. You can also migrate mailboxes between two Microsoft 365 tenants.
The program’s mailbox matching mechanism lets you automatically match source mailboxes with their target counterparts. You can also define a custom pattern according to which mailboxes should be matched. Your pattern can be based on several Active Directory / Entra ID attributes.
If there are no mailboxes in the target Microsoft 365 tenant, the program can create them for you automatically. You can also adjust the target user/mailbox creation algorithm as you like.
The built-in scheduler lets you automate the entire migration process. It can start and stop your jobs at specific times or run recurring delta migrations.
Use the Time filter to migrate only selected items based on their age. This option is very helpful when performing staged migrations. The Folder filter step allows you exclude certain types of items from being migrated, such as Junk folder or Deleted items.
Once you finish configuring the migration job wizard, click Start on the Jobs tab to begin the migration or wait for the scheduler to start the process automatically.
You can receive email reports on the migration progress, tailored to your needs. You can also generate reports directly in the program. For example, the Mailbox migration report shows the progress of a single mailbox, while the Overall migration report gives you a full overview of all jobs.
