CodeTwo Out of Office Manager lets you control all Out of Office assistant settings in your Office 365 or Exchange Server organization via one graphical calendar panel.
What’s more, with this week’s release it gives the user the ability to allow sending multiple automatic replies while the Out of Office assistant is switched on.
Advantages over built-in Office 365 and Exchange solutions
- Central administrative control over all Out of Office settings in an organization;
- Ability to set multiple Out of Office periods ahead of time;
- Scheduler feature and Out of Office recurrence (e.g. outside office hours every work day);
- NEW: Reset count of automatic replies sent per sender.
What’s the difference?
The improvement might seem minor, but remember – Exchange Server and Office 365 send only 1 automatic reply per sender while the Out of Office Assistant is enabled. This means that an external user who has already today received an Out of Office reply from your absent co-worker, will not receive another reply when he or she sends an email tomorrow, next week or two weeks from now… which is as if you let somebody know that you will be away for a while and then started ostensibly ignoring them.
The new 1.4 version of CodeTwo Out of Office Manager lets you reset the Out of Office sender list in custom time intervals, thus enabling you to send multiple consecutive Out of Office replies to senders trying to contact unavailable users. This means that now, if the sender forgets about already contacting your user or doesn’t remember what day the user is returning to work, he or she will simply receive the Out of Office message again. Problem solved.

Shame. It was really useful.
Hi Adam,
Does CodeTwo Out of Office Manager need to be running on a machines/server for this feature to work?
Assuming it is manually resetting the users Out of Office sender lists via an internal scheduled task?
If not how does it work?
Hi Ben,
Yes, the program needs to be running in order to reset senders’ list and to apply scheduled out of office messages. Therefore, it is recommended to make sure that the computer with CodeTwo Out of Office Manager installed is turned on at all times.
