Automatic conversion between cloud and Outlook signature rules

Signature rule conversion comes in handy when you:

• Plan to switch to another signature mode – you can create a new type of signature rules in advance, based on your current rules. That way you make sure your email signatures are not interrupted during the switch.
• Use the combo signature mode – the new feature lets you quickly create similar rules for both cloud and Outlook signatures. You can then use different types of email signatures for different purposes (e.g. Outlook signatures for emails composed in Outlook apps and cloud signatures for emails sent from other email apps).

How to convert an email signature rule

Sign in to the Signatures app (app.codetwo.com), select any signature rule, and click Convert:

The conversion starts at once. Note that cloud and Outlook signature rules are slightly different in terms of the available settings, supported placeholders, etc. So if there’s anything you need to address in the converted rule, our application will show you the details. When prompted, click OK to continue.

All that’s left is to review the newly created rule and either save it as unpublished for now (click Save), or save and enable it for your end users straight away (click Save & Publish).

One more thing to note: converting a rule does not affect any of your current rules or email signatures. After the conversion is made, you’ll end up with two rules: the original one (used as a source for the conversion) and a new, converted one.
