How to back up and restore on-premises Exchange data with CodeTwo Backup

Problem:

You want to use CodeTwo Backup to back up, restore, and archive data from an on-premises Exchange Server.

Solution:

As of version 2.6, CodeTwo Backup no longer supports on-premises Exchange Server. However, you can use an earlier version of the program to continue backing up, restoring, and archiving your on-prem Exchange data.

If you’ve already updated CodeTwo Backup to version 2.6.1.x (or later), you can easily roll back to version 2.5.x without losing access to data backed up with the newer version. After the rollback, the program will retain the configuration it had before the update.

Here’s how to roll back to version 2.5.x:

1. Uninstall your existing CodeTwo Backup version. See instructions
2. Download CodeTwo Backup 2.5.x using this link.
3. Run the installer and follow the steps in the installation wizard. See instructions
