Target server mailbox addresses are not resolving
Problem:
Target server mailbox addresses are not resolving in CodeTwo Exchange Migration or CodeTwo Office 365 Migration.
Solution:
In some migration scenarios such as a cross-domain migration the target server email addresses do not resolve and are not listed. Target mailbox address must be in that case typed in. The possible reasons are:
- Related to acceptance of PowerShell connections by the target server - WinRM may be not working on the target server.
- Caused by firewall, router or antivirus settings blocking PowerShell ports either on source or target server (by default these are the following TCP ports: 80, 443, 5985, 5986).
- Target server domain is improperly configured at your domain register (e.g. points at old server).
- Your source server side DNS forwards target domain queries somewhere else.
