This article is obsolete and may relate only to older versions of our software.
Problem:
How to avoid a situation in which two addresses start exchanging multiple autoresponders in an infinite loop?
Solution:
If you are using CodeTwo Exchange Rules PRO 2.x, please consult the following page of User Guide.
The Auto respond feature in CodeTwo Exchange Rules PRO is used to send autoreplies to messages processed by server without the end user's intervention. The action is activated in the Actions tab by clicking Add button and selecting Auto respond (Fig. 1.).

The Autorespond feature contains the Loop Protection mechanism that will safeguard an infinite loop - a situation in which two addresses start exchanging multiple autoresponders. The Loop Protection can be accessed by clicking the Loop Protector button in the Action pane.

By default loop protection is enabled. In the options dialog box of the loop protector you can define the maximum number of autoreplies that will be sent within one hour.
The Loop Protector counts autoreplies separately for each email address and each rule. It will not accumulate autoreplies from all rules in the program.
