You get the following error in CodeTwo Office 365 Migration:

The request failed. The remote server returned an error: (405) Method Not Allowed

Solution:

If you have a hybrid environment (on-premises Exchange server connected to Office 365) CodeTwo Office 365 Migration might not connect to Office 365 on some occasions. This is caused by a problem with the AutoDiscover service.

Please refer to this article to check if you can successfully connect to Office 365 via PowerShell.

To solve this problem, please follow these steps:

  1. Log in to Office 365 using administrator account.
  2. Create a new global administrator account. Make sure that the domain that you selected is @your_domain.onmicrosoft.com
  3. Reconfigure credentials to your source/target Office 365. Open CodeTwo Office 365 Migration and reconfigure credentials to match the new global administrator account.
  4. Start the migration.

After the migration is finished you can delete the global administrator account with your_domain.onmicrosoft.com to reclaim your license.

If after following the above steps you still cannot connect to Office 365, contact CodeTwo Customer Support.
