The request failed. The remote server returned an error: (405) Method Not Allowed
Solution:
If you have a hybrid environment (on-premises Exchange server connected to Office 365) CodeTwo Office 365 Migration might not connect to Office 365 on some occasions. This is caused by a problem with the AutoDiscover service.
Please refer to this article to check if you can successfully connect to Office 365 via PowerShell.
To solve this problem, please follow these steps:
- Log in to Office 365 using administrator account.
- Create a new global administrator account. Make sure that the domain that you selected is @your_domain.onmicrosoft.com
- Reconfigure credentials to your source/target Office 365. Open CodeTwo Office 365 Migration and reconfigure credentials to match the new global administrator account.
- Start the migration.
After the migration is finished you can delete the global administrator account with your_domain.onmicrosoft.com to reclaim your license.
If after following the above steps you still cannot connect to Office 365, contact CodeTwo Customer Support.
