Outlook freezes when you send an email
Problem:
When you try to send an email, Outlook stops responding.
Solution:
There are two ways to solve the problem:
Create a new Outlook profile
To create a profile, follow the instructions from this article.
Disable the option to warn a user before downloading email content
If the first solution doesn’t help, try completing the steps below:
- Open Outlook options by clicking the File tab (on the ribbon) and next Options.
- In the Outlook Options window, go to Trust Center and click the Trust Center Settings button (Fig. 1.).

- In the Trust Center window, go to Automatic Download and uncheck the Warn me before downloading content when editing, forwarding, or replying to email option (Fig. 2.).

- Finally, click OK twice to close the windows and restart Outlook.
