Outlook freezes when you send an email

Problem:

When you try to send an email, Outlook stops responding.

Solution:

There are two ways to solve the problem:

Create a new Outlook profile

To create a profile, follow the instructions from this article.

Disable the option to warn a user before downloading email content

If the first solution doesn’t help, try completing the steps below:

  1. Open Outlook options by clicking the File tab (on the ribbon) and next Options.
  2. In the Outlook Options window, go to Trust Center and click the Trust Center Settings button (Fig. 1.).

  1. In the Trust Center window, go to Automatic Download and uncheck the Warn me before downloading content when editing, forwarding, or replying to email option (Fig. 2.).

  1. Finally, click OK twice to close the windows and restart Outlook.
