How to allow third-party cookies for Outlook on the web

Problem:

You are asked to sign in to CodeTwo Web Add-in in Outlook on the web (OWA) more frequently than in Outlook desktop apps.

Solution:

The most likely cause for this that your web browser blocks third-party cookies, either for all websites or just for Outlook on the web. To improve your experience with the add-in, use the links below to add outlook.office.com to your browser’s exceptions list (sites allowed to use third-party cookies).

How to allow third-party cookies for Outlook in Microsoft Edge

  1. Open Microsoft Edge.
  2. Click Settings and more () in the top right corner.
  3. Go to Settings > Cookies and site permissions, then click Manage and delete cookies and site data.
  4. Under the Allow section, click Add and enter
    outlook.office.com
    Next, select the checkbox below the site address (see Fig. 1.) and click Add again.

How to allow third-party cookies for Outlook in Google Chrome

  1. Open Google Chrome.
  2. Click Customize and control Google Chrome () in the top right corner.
  3. Go to Settings > Privacy and security, then click Third-party cookies to expand these settings.
  4. Under Sites allowed to use third-party cookies, click Add and enter
    outlook.office.com
    Next, click Add again (Fig. 2.).

How to allow third-party cookies for Outlook in Firefox

  1. Open Firefox.
  2. Sign in to Outlook on the web.
  3. Click the shield icon in the address bar and turn off Enhanced Tracking Protection, as shown in Fig. 3. Note that the page will refresh automatically.

How to allow third-party cookies for Outlook in Safari

Important

Safari does not allow exceptions for specific sites. You can only enable or disable third-party cookies for all sites. If this conflicts with your organization’s policy, consider using a different browser for Outlook on the web.

To disable all third-party cookies in Safari:

  1. Open Safari.
  2. In the menu bar, click Safari > Settings.
  3. Go to Privacy and turn off Prevent cross-side tracking (Fig. 4.).
