How to allow third-party cookies for Outlook on the web
Problem:
You are asked to sign in to CodeTwo Web Add-in in Outlook on the web (OWA) more frequently than in Outlook desktop apps.
Solution:
The most likely cause for this that your web browser blocks third-party cookies, either for all websites or just for Outlook on the web. To improve your experience with the add-in, use the links below to add outlook.office.com to your browser’s exceptions list (sites allowed to use third-party cookies).
- Microsoft Edge
- Google Chrome
- Firefox
- Safari (note that Safari does not support adding exceptions for individual sites)
How to allow third-party cookies for Outlook in Microsoft Edge
- Open Microsoft Edge.
- Click Settings and more (…) in the top right corner.
- Go to Settings > Cookies and site permissions, then click Manage and delete cookies and site data.
- Under the Allow section, click Add and enter
outlook.office.com
Next, select the checkbox below the site address (see Fig. 1.) and click Add again.

How to allow third-party cookies for Outlook in Google Chrome
- Open Google Chrome.
- Click Customize and control Google Chrome (…) in the top right corner.
- Go to Settings > Privacy and security, then click Third-party cookies to expand these settings.
- Under Sites allowed to use third-party cookies, click Add and enter
outlook.office.com
Next, click Add again (Fig. 2.).

How to allow third-party cookies for Outlook in Firefox
- Open Firefox.
- Sign in to Outlook on the web.
- Click the shield icon in the address bar and turn off Enhanced Tracking Protection, as shown in Fig. 3. Note that the page will refresh automatically.

How to allow third-party cookies for Outlook in Safari
Important
Safari does not allow exceptions for specific sites. You can only enable or disable third-party cookies for all sites. If this conflicts with your organization’s policy, consider using a different browser for Outlook on the web.
To disable all third-party cookies in Safari:
- Open Safari.
- In the menu bar, click Safari > Settings.
- Go to Privacy and turn off Prevent cross-side tracking (Fig. 4.).
