Easy Self Running Installation

CodeTwo Public Folders consists of two applications and the installation is very simple:

• Outlook Add-in – enables sharing data in real time directly in Outlook. It must be installed on those computers in the network that will be used to share Outlook data.
• Syncing Master – is responsible for communication and data exchange between the Outlook Add-ins. It should only be installed on one computer in the network *; it does not require any configuration or continuous administration.

* If you want to quickly test how CodeTwo Public Folders works, you don't need to install Syncing Master in your network. It's enough for you to install Outlook Add-in, on two or more computers and you will share data using Syncing Master installed on our demo internet server. Remember that our Syncing Master can be used for test purposes only.

If you want to have Syncing Master in your network, e.g. to start groupwork or share sensitive data; install Syncing Master first and then go on to install Outlook Add-ins. The installation of Syncing Master in extremely simple; it doesn't require any configuration and is completed in 3 clicks.

The installation of Outlook Add-ins of CodeTwo Public Folders is equally simple. The only thing you need to do during the installation is point them to the computer hosting Syncing Master. This can be the Syncing Master in your local network or on our demo Internet server. If you want to use Syncing Master in your local network, use the Auto-configure option to automatically search for the computer hosting Syncing Master.

After installatiing Syncing Master (i.e. unless you use our demo server) and Outlook Add-ins on several computers, you can start using CodeTwo Public Folders and share data in real time in Outlook. When opening Outlook you will see a new tree of public folders, in which you can create new folders and items of any type. All changes will be instantly visible for other users. You can also share your personal folders with other users!

The fact that CodeTwo Public Folders uses Syncing Master, the synchronization of data between multiple computers is quick, efficient and reliable. All data is stored in a central location so there is no risk of it becoming corrupted. You can also easily make a backup. You need not manually choose all users who will access the commonly used data, but you can easily manage the access rights to share folders from a central administration module.
