The rule tabs i.e. Overview, Conditions, Actions, Exceptions, Options are used to tune how the rule should work. Now you need to perform a few simple steps inside the tabs in order to configure the rule.
Overview. This tab is used to provide a comment describing the rule.
Conditions. The Conditions tab is used to choose the conditions that will trigger the rule if a message matches the defined criteria. If the tab is empty, the rule will apply to all messages. If you want the rule to apply for messages of selected senders only, choose from the menu Scope of Senders. Read more about defining the Scope of senders.
Actions. This tab is used to configure the work of the Subject Modifier. Click Add and choose Modify subject (Fig.2.). The right pane will show the action properties.

In the action properties click Edit to edit the template subject of the message (Fig.3.).

You can add a phrase in the text field that will always be used in the subject or or insert dynamic fields from Active Directory by clicking Insert placeholder/Sender properties from the dropdown, e.g. "City." With this settings the subject will contain the location of the sender as specified in Active Directory. Confirm the changes by clicking OK.
Exceptions. The Exceptions tab is used to define the criteria for the rule that if met by a message should exclude it from processing by the given rule.
Options. The Options tab is used to configure the settings related to the current rule. Because this is a simple Subject Modifier, the settings of this tab are left unchanged.
The rule is ready to use. Click Save in the main window of the program to approve all recent changes. Once the rule is saved it begins to operate and the subjects of messages will be modified by CodeTwo Exchange Rules PRO.
