Template Editor
One of the features of CodeTwo Exchange Rules PRO is that it inserts legal notes, disclaimers and personalized signatures. For CodeTwo Exchange Rules PRO to add legal notes, disclaimers and signatures to emails you need to create a rule that will include the Insert disclaimer / signature action. The action needs to use a template that must be composed in the Template editor (Fig.1.).

Template Editor is an application that resembles Microsoft Word and that can be used in a similar way. The window of the Template editor comprises several sectors. The main part is the edit field that is used to compose the contents of the template.

To open the Template editor you need to click Edit template located in the properties pane of the action responsible for inserting the disclaimer/signature (Fig.2.).

Editor menu

To open the menu of the Template Editor click the C2 logo in the upper left corner of the program. The menu lists the following options: New, Export template to library and Import template from library. Use these options to create in the library new templates as well as import and export the existing ones (Fig.3.).

Template editor tabs.

The template editor tabs are located above the main toolbar (Fig.4). Switching the tabs allows you to edit the template of different message formats: (HTML, RTF and Plaintext). Another tab, Library, opens the inventory with ready-made templates.

Properties pane in the editor

This pane provides main data on the objects located in the edit field such as size, image file path, font size etc (Fig.5.).

Toolbar

All options in the template editor are available from its toolbar. The toolbar's appearance depends on the tab that is selected. That is described in the corresponding articles.
