Inserting Footers in Selected Places in Messages
CodeTwo Exchange Rules 2010 lets you choose where you want the footer to be placed in a message. Depending on what the footer includes, you may place it below the response text or at the very end of the message. This capability is useful in messages containing the history of previous correspondence such as replies or forwards. The message history may already contain your footers so it is essential that the new footer is well visible and does not interfere with the text integrity.

The place where you want to put your footers can be chosen while creating a new rule or editing an existing one in the Signature\disclaimer template section (Fig.1.).

Top disclaimer

If Do not insert signature/disclaimer if it is already found in the message is checked, neither signature nor disclaimer will be added to the message containing either of them.

Bottom disclaimer

Insert signature/disclaimer under the latest response is typically used for personal signatures. Furthermore, by unchecking Do not insert signature/disclaimer if it is already found in the message, the signature will always be placed below the most recent reply, and not at the bottom of the message. Insert signature/disclaimer at the very bottom of the message is typically selected if the footer consists of a company disclaimer.
Check Do not insert signature/disclaimer if it is already found in the message if you do not want to have multiple instances of the same company disclaimer in the correspondence. With such settings, the footer will be added at the very bottom of the message and only when the message body is devoid of it.

Multiple disclaimer

By checking Add an empty line before signature/disclaimer every message containing several disclaimers will have an empty line added before the next disclaimer in a queue.

CodeTwo Exchange Rules 2010 checks whether a footer is already found in the message and compares it with the footer template. When Do not insert disclaimer if it is already found in the message is checked, the footer will not be added if the message history already contains an identical footer. If there are other footers found in the message but with different content, CodeTwo Exchange Rules, the footer will be added..
