Support Contract for CodeTwo Exchange Rules 2003 - Pricing

If you want to contact our technicians by email or phone, you need to order a one-year Support contract. The price for the Support contract depends on the number of licenses you have for the program, and is shown in the table below. The Support contract expires after one year. Ordering the Support contract is not mandatory; however, it is recommended because of the following benefits:

Definition and benefits of Support contract continuity

The Support contract continuity means that you purchased a Support contract together with the product and extended its validity when required.

For example, if you purchased CodeTwo Exchange Rules 2003 together with a one-year Support contract, you meet the conditions of the Support contract continuity for 12 months since the time of your purchase. If you fail to renew the Support contract before it expires, you will not maintain the Support contract continuity and will lose the benefits of it.

If you maintain the Support contract continuity, you will get a discount if you want to migrate to a similar CodeTwo product. 

For example, if you have CodeTwo Exchange Rules 2003, you can get a discount if you want to migrate to a similar product (e.g. CodeTwo Email Signatures for Office 365).

What is more, maintaining the Support contract continuity, entitles you to discounts while renewing the Support contract (see Discounted price list in the table below).

If you wish to purchase Support contract separately or after your Support contract has expired, you lose the benefits of Support contract continuity and you have to buy the Support contract for a standard price, shown in the Standard price list column.

This only applies to companies from the European Union: Companies from EU should state a valid EU VAT ID during the order process, otherwise VAT will be added to the final price (Article 196 of UE Directive 2006/112/EC). Companies from other countries do not have to state the VAT ID.

Pricing for a Support contract when upgrading, migrating , or purchasing additional licenses

If you have a valid Support contract and are currently ordering an upgrade of your program or migrating to a different program, technical support of which is more expensive than the one you have now, you will only be asked to pay a price difference. Because upgrades or migrations do not extend your Support contract, the price will be reduced according to the used period of your Support contract.

Example:
Let's assume you have CodeTwo Exchange Rules 2003 for 100 users together with a Support contract that was purchased 9 months ago for $69. Currently you want to migrate to CodeTwo Exchange Rules 2010 where technical support for 100 users costs $99. The price difference is $30. However, 75% of your one-year Support contract has already expired, so you only need to pay 25% of this price, which equals $7.5.

Ordering additional licenses looks the same. The price for technical support depends on the number of users determined by your program's license. Thus usually you need to pay the difference between the current and the previous number of licenses, reduced according to the used period of your Support contract.

Example:
You have CodeTwo Exchange Rules 2003 for 150 users together with a Support contract that was purchased 9 months ago for $95. Currently you want to buy licenses for additional 100 users. The price for technical support for 250 users equals $119. The price difference is $24. However, 75% of your one-year Support contract has already expired, so you only need to pay 25% of this price, which equals $6.
