Error: An item with the same key has already been added

Problem:

You get an error message "An item with the same key has already been added" when trying to use remote connection feature in CodeTwo Exchange Rules PRO (1.x).

Solution:

The error message is displayed because some or all your rules are corrupted. Specifically, each rule has its own unique identifier and for some reason in your set of rules those IDs are not unique. The only solution to that problem would be to delete corrupted rules. Unfortunately, there is no easy way to distinguish the corrupted rules from the ones that work properly, however, this problem usually affects rules that were created using cloning feature so it would be a good idea to take a look at those first. Be aware that removing one rule that shares the same ID with other rules will also remove those.
