Images in signatures are not visible while composing messages in Outlook 2016

This article is meant for users of CodeTwo Email Signatures for Email Clients. This software has been discontinued. If your organization uses Office 365, check out CodeTwo Email Signatures for Office 365.

Embedded images included in the signature are not visible when you compose an email. Only graphical placeholders show up. This problem occurs only in MS Outlook 2016.

According to the thread on Microsoft's forums, the problem seems to be a bug in Microsoft Outlook 2016. Therefore, it is not related to CodeTwo nor any other third-party product. This bug has been already fixed by Microsoft in MS Office build 16.0.6769.2015. To resolve the issue you need to update MS Outlook installation (File, Account, Update Options, Update Now). Be aware, updates availability may depend on your update channel settings.

The problem is related only to embedded images, so if you cannot update your MS Office, as a workaround you may simply use online images instead. Generally, we recommend using embedded images, so users are not prompted to download the remote content.
