Each user of a computer has their own separate PST file in which data from public folders visible to them is stored. By default there is set a lmitation which is different for various versions of the Microsoft Outlook software:

  • For the versions prior to 2003, the maximum size is 2GB.
  • For Outlook 2003 and 2007 it is 20 GB.
  • For Outlook 2010 / 2013 / 2016 the maximum size is 50GB.
