Anonymous contact in call history

This article is meant for users of CodeTwo Public Folders. This software has been discontinued. You can check the list of currently available CodeTwo products here.

Problem:

You are using CodeTwo Public Folders mobile Client App for iOS. You have accessed a shared contacts folder and placed a call directly from the CodeTwo Public Folders mobile Client App. This call is now presented in the history as a call to anonymous or unknown number.

Solution:

Calling contacts directly from the mobile Client App is possible and you are free to do this. However, the above problematic behavior is considered normal. This is due to a fact that the mobile device resolves calls target names from the device's built-in contacts list and not from other lists such as CodeTwo Public Folders mobile Client App. If this behavior is rather inconvenient for you please synchronize our application with your mobile device's contacts list. You can do this from within CodeTwo Public Folders mobile Client App settings.
