Issue with Microsoft Exchange 2010 SP3 RU1 update

To CodeTwo Exchange Rules 2010 and Exchange Rules PRO users! Be warned that installing the Service Pack 3 Roll Up 1 update on MS Exchange 2010 stops signatures from working.
The only workaround is to uninstall SP3 RU1. We are currently working with Microsoft on this issue, as it is caused by one of the update’s libraries.

Stay tuned and check our blog for news on this matter.

  2. Hi Piet,
If you are referring to CodeTwo Exchange Rules 2010 then you first need to upgrade as we are developing the version 2.x now.

  3. Thanks for the quick response! Just to make sure, can I apply the fix on the version I’m currently running? (

  4. Hi Piet,

The fix passed tests last Friday.
The download should be available today. Keep an eye for the news on this blog.

  5. Hi Rich!

We are working hard at the moment to release the fix ASAP. It should be available for downloading before Friday, 14th.

  6. Is there an estimated time frame for a fix on this issue? We are in need of installing SP3RU1 as soon as we can. Please advise.

  7. Hello Charlie! Thanks for your comment.
From your description it seems that you had quite a different problem.
Our issue is, that after installing SP3RU1 and having one of our products installed on the server (Exchange Rules PRO/Exchange Rules 2010) the mailflow is maintained, however CodeTwo signature software stops adding signatures.
Do you have CodeTwo on board of your server?

  8. Yo… You are close… But incorrect. The issue has nothing to do with “signatures”, it has to do with transport rules and DISCLAIMERS appended to emails.

You do NOT need to uninstall RU1! Just disable the disclaimer transport rule until fixed. The “poisoned” mail immediately flows.

Hope there aren’t too many people that bit on your post without checking for accuracy first!!
