The price for technical support depends on the number of users determined by your license, and is shown in the table below. The contract expires after one year. Ordering a support contract is not mandatory; however, if you do not order it, you will only have access to free technical documentation.

Pricing for technical support when upgrading, migrating , or purchasing additional licenses

If you have a valid support contract and are currently ordering an upgrade of your program or migrating to a different program, technical support of which is more expensive than the one you have now, you will only be asked to pay a price difference. Because upgrades or migrations do not extend your support contract, the price will be reduced according to the used period of your support contract.

Example:
Let's assume you have CodeTwo Exchange Rules 2003 for 100 users together with a support contract that was purchased 9 months ago for $69. Currently you want to migrate to CodeTwo Exchange Rules 2010 where technical support for 100 users costs $99. The price difference is $30. However, 75% of your one-year support contract has already expired, so you only need to pay 25% of this price, which equals $7.5.

Ordering additional licenses looks the same. The price for technical support depends on the number of users determined by your program's license. Thus usually you need to pay the difference between the current and the previous number of licenses, reduced according to the used period of your support contract.

Example:
You have CodeTwo Exchange Rules 2010 for 150 users together with a support contract that was purchased 9 months ago for $139. Currently you want to buy licenses for additional 100 users. The price for technical support for 250 users equals $179. The price difference is $40. However, 75% of your one-year support contract has already expired, so you only need to pay 25% of this price, which equals $10.
