Database migration
In case of replacing the computer on which the Syncing Master module of CodeTwo Public Folders is installed, you will have to transfer your current database onto the new machine. It can be done very easily using the program's features.In order to do that, open the Administration Panel (Start, Programs, CodeTwo, Public Folders - Syncing Master, Administration Panel) and go to the Database migration tab (Fig. 1.).

To perform the database migration, follow the steps you will see in the migration tab. First you have to copy the current database using the Export database button. The backup copy will be saved in the selected location.
Next step involves physically moving your database onto the machine that will be the new Syncing Master - remember that this machine needs to have the Syncing Master already installed. Having copied the database onto the new computer (or after plugging in a portable disk drive with your copy), open the Administration Panel on this machine and go to the Database migration tab. Click the Import database button, point to the location of your copy and confirm your choice.
When copying is finished, start the procedure of switching the MS Outlook Add-ins from the old Syncing Master to the new one. All your users will see the same data they had in the old Syncing Master.
