CodeTwo Public Folders 4.7 - better control over synchronized Outlook data
CodeTwo has released a new update of their flagship product - CodeTwo Public Folders. The program has been enhanced with a new Administration Panel as well as a recovery of removed folders and backup databases management features.
26 August 2011, CodeTwo published an important update of CodeTwo Public Folders. The program is an advanced Outlook extension that allows users to share Outlook folders in a local network and between multiple PCs. Owing to the program, users are able to create so called public folders in their Outlook folder tree, as well as share their private folders with others. Furthermore, it is possible to control access rights to the shared data in order to apply advanced collaboration scenarios within the given group of co-workers. The program is extremely easy-to-use and requires no server-dedicated software. The entire implementation of CodeTwo Public Folders takes only a few minutes.
The new 4.7.0 version of CodeTwo Public Folders introduces a number of desired features.
Above all, CodeTwo Public Folders in version 4.7 has a brand-new User Interface and new management features that give a better control over shared folders and let easily access and adjust all synchronization settings. - said Michał Bednarz, the Managing Director of CodeTwo.
Moreover, users can now easily transfer databases between computers and synchronize even the non-standard forms and folders views. The administration panel lets users administrate status of C2Public Folders system service. It also allows to define database location, change the log files folder path or to modify the listening ports. The panel displays all important licensing information, such as license type, license key, currently licensed users and number of available licenses.
It is worth to pay attention to the fact that, from now on, there is only one installer of CodeTwo Public Folders for both 32- and 64-bit versions. The application automatically detects which version of Outlook is used by a user and installs a proper variant. - said Szymon Szczesniak, the Marketing Manager of CodeTwo.
All updates and upgrades of CodeTwo's solutions are published on their website, along with a comprehensive User's Manual and helpful video-tutorials. The latest update of CodeTwo Public Folders is free for its licensed users. To install the update correctly, Syncing Master and all Outlook add-ons have to be up-to-date.
