The installation is easy. First install the server module (it doesn't re- quire any configuration) on one of the computers in your local network*. Then install the client modules on the computers that wil be used for sharing folders in Outlook. Launch Outlook and start sharing data with others!

* If you want to quickly check how CodeTwo Public Folders works, you don't even have to install the server module. You only need to install the client module on one or more computers and you will be able to use our internet demo server. See how it works and whether it is safe.

- Microsoft Windows 2000 / XP / 2003 / Vista
- Microsoft Outlook 98 / 2000 / XP / 2003 / 2007 (from Microsoft Office package).
(Outlook 98/2000 must be installed in the Corporate or Workgroup mode)

Requirements:

If you want to use public folders in Outlook on a computer with the server module installed, you also need to install the client module of the program on that computer.

When installing on Windows Vista, do not double-click the downloaded setup file to run it. Instead, right-click on the file and select Run as administrator from the popup menu.

Trial version

The trial version is fully functional and its only limitation is that it cannot be used longer than 30 days.



Full version

To use the software after the 30 day trial period, you can purchase an activation code, which will upgrade the trial version to the full version. Once upgraded, the software can be used without any limitations and all the settings and data entered in the trial version are preserved.



Upgrades

In order to upgrade from the previous version of the software, start up the above installation program for the client and the server module. The previous version will be detected and automatically upgraded. All data and configuration settings from the previous version will be preserved.

If you own a full activated version of the software, you don't need to activate it again after upgrading it.

We always recommend to upgrade the server module and all the client modules to the latest version. If the versions of the server module and the client modules are different, some communication difficulties between the modules may occur.
