CodeTwo Exchange Rules 2007 lets you choose where you want the footer to be placed in a message. Depending on what the footer includes, you may want it to be placed below the response text or at the very end of the message. This capability is useful in messages containing the history of previous correspondence such as replies or forwards. The message history may already contain your footers so it is essential that the new footer is well visible and does not interfere with the text integrity.
The place where you want to put your footers can be chosen while creating a new rule or editing an existing one in Edit and forward options section (Fig.1).

Insert disclaimer directly under the response text is typically used for personalized signatures. In addition, uncheck Do not insert disclaimer if it already exists in the message. With such settings, the signature will always be placed below the most recent reply, and not at the bottom of the message.
Insert disclaimer at the end of the message is typically selected if the footer consists of a company disclaimer. Check Do not insert disclaimer if it already exists in the message if you do not want to have multiple instances of the same company disclaimer in the correspondence. With such settings, the footer will be added at the very bottom of the message and only when the message body is devoid of it.
Do not insert disclaimer if it already exists in the message should be checked if you do not want to have the same footer repeated multiple times in the message when replying or forwarding.
