Exchange 200 disclaimer, signature, footnote to messages, e-mails in Microsoft Exchange Server 2000/2003 and Small Business Server (SBS) 2000/2003 CodeTwo Exchange Rules 2007 lets you define the rules for email messages to be taken directly at the Exchange server. Each rule can add a disclaimer to the email messages, sent via the Exchange server. The rules are stored on the server as a list. By processing a certain message, the server looks for the rule that best fits it, taking into account the sender's and recipients' addresses. The server goes through the list from the first to the last rule in an descending order and having found the first matching rule, the disclaimer defined in the rule is added to the message - all the remaining rules on the list are skipped.

Disclaimers can be added to all messages, regardless of their origin and destination - if they're sent outside the organization, within it or if the messages are coming from outside to the users within the organization. The only criteria for adding footers to the messages is the scope of senders and recipients, defined by the Administrator during the configuration of a certain rule.

More about defining the scope of senders and recipients can be found in Principles of defining rules.

Disclaimers are added to the messages, sent from all mail clients: MS Outlook, OWA, PDA, SMTP clients.

Disclaimers are not added to the messages, containing digital signatures or encrypted, as this would destroy the structure of that message.

Disclaimers can contain Active Directory variables, which will be replaced with the appropriate values from the Active Directory User object. These variables allow the Administrator to create the templates of user personal signatures. More about personalized signatures...
