Adjusting photos
This article applies to an old version of CodeTwo Active Directory Photos.
We strongly recommend that you visit the product page and download the latest version.
Note that the navigation menu on the left side refers to the latest version of the program.
To add a picture for a chosen user you need to click the Choose Photo button (also available in the toolbar and the context menu). Then, point to the location of the picture and click Open. A Photo Resize window will appear (Fig. 1.).

The Photo Resize window is used to refine the picture to suit the requirements set out by Active Directory. You can either keep the original dimensions of your photo or decide to change its size to conform to specified dimensions (Adjust dimension to the target frame). The second option is particularly useful when all users sending emails in your company have provided you with pictures in a whole range of different sizes, and the company signature will accept photos of unified dimensions. If the photo is smaller from the desired size, you can select the Add white margins if necessary checkbox to add margins around the image. Click OK to approve the image to be uploaded to Active Directory upon which it will become visible in the Users and Contacts pane.
To remove a user's photo click the Remove option next to a user's picture, or use the toolbar options or the right-button menu.
Double-clicking a user will open the User details window displaying, apart from all the picture data, the most important information about the user that is available in the Active Directory (Fig. 2.). You can easily replace or resize the photo in this window.

CodeTwo Active Directory Photos support clipboard functionality. User photos can be copied, cut, pasted and moved using the right-button menu or keystrokes (CTRL+C, CTRL+X, CTRL+V respectively) .
Pictures larger than 100kB will be reduced (the quality will decrease) and their file format will automatically change to *.jpg.
