1 December is another day with an update to one of our solutions CodeTwo Public Folders. This is an application that has its users worldwide and is rapidly gaining in popularity. CodeTwo Public Folders serves as an alternative to those small and mid-sized companies that do not want to buy a costly and complicated Exchange server. Just as with the big brother from Microsoft, installing this outlook add-in adds a sharing capability to Outlook clients in your company. Today we are releasing an update that adds some more functionality to the program as well as improves its performance.

We have released a minor update versioned 4.5.9 to CodeTwo Public Folders, an Exchange Server alternative to share Outlook data. It includes among others the following fixes: In some cases, a licensed program reverted to demo mode. All items in shared folders were duplicated when a user had more than one Outlook profile. Improved user identification system. In some cases, two different users having the same user and computer names were able to connect to the Syncing Master. In this new version, users can decide if all removed items are moved to the Deleted Items folder or deleted irrevertibly. By default, all deleted elements are deleted permanently. It includes the following fixes: There was an error when opening Outlook after installing Outlook Add-in on some computers. The error made opening Outlook impossible and was caused by loading message store in undetermined order. The support for MS Outlook 2000 has been improved. The MAPI profile error occurring after installing the Outlook Add-in, has been fixed. The update is free of charge for all users.
