On 14 April we officially released a beta version of Giegieo, an add-in merging the most popular Polish instant messenger Gadu-Gadu with Microsoft Outlook. You may have read an earlier post on this product.
Giegieo is an extension to Outlook – it displays information on the status and description of Gadu-Gadu contacts and people we chat with. This helps us see at a glance if they are online so that we can start off a conversation, send a text message to their cell, or make a phone call using built-in service. Giegieo is a significant aid in managing contacts and conversations. For a detailed list of the functionalities see the previous post on Giegieo.
We are delighted with the fact that the release has met with tremendous interest from the users and the media. The application was featured in major Polish websites CHIP, DobreProgramy, Wirtualna Polska, Gazeta.pl.
On 09 Apr 2009 we published an update to the recently released CodeTwo Exchange Rules 3.0 that enables centralized management of signatures, disclaimers, branding, in electronic mail processed by Exchange Server. The update is free and contains fixes to several problems reported by our users, such as:
- certain internal messages reached their recipients stripped of the message body;
- disclaimer/signature would not be added to internal messages if the recipients were entered only in the Bcc. field;
- it would take too long to process certain messages, the result being messages stacked up in queues.

It is recommended for users of CodeTwo Exchange Rules 3.0 to install the update. The installation will require a restart of the server.
As announced recently, in March one of our solutions, CodeTwo Public Folders, was included in the poll for the best add-on for Microsoft Office Outlook organized by the prestigious site MSExchange.org. The results of the poll have finally arrived and we are pleased to inform that CodeTwo Public Folders garnered 4th place while missing only 1% to the 3rd place. The fourth place is a huge success given the renown of MSExchange.org itself, its worldwide reach and the solutions CodeTwo Public Folders vied against.
