The program will let you sync Outlook between two computers with a few clicks. And.. yes! It’s also available in a free version.
Why CodeTwo Outlook Sync?
There is a couple of solutions to share Outlook between two computers available on the market. However, none of them was good enough for us. That’s why we created our own solution. The program origins from CodeTwo, a company that specializes in synchronization algorithms – check out our CodeTwo Exchange Sync and CodeTwo Public Folders advanced data real-time synchronization applications. You can be sure CodeTwo Outlook Sync is a top quality product which is fast, reliable, ergonomic, intuitive and easy to use.
Who needs to sync Outlook between two PCs?
If dentists and golfers believe all holes are meant to be filled, we believe that all computers need to be synced. So.. long story short: Everyone needs this program because sharing information is indispensable in today’s world and blah blah blah. Ok – to be frank, you need CodeTwo Outlook Sync if:
You have two computers (e.g. desktop and laptop) and you need to sync Outlook between them to stay on top of everything. Thanks to CodeTwo Outlook Sync, your email will be synced, your calendars on two PCs will contain the same number of appointments and your contact folders will be always equal. You will forever remove the need to check your tasks on both machines. Your life will become easier if you don’t wake up in the middle of the night because you realize you’ve forgotten to do something.
You need to sync Outlook with your secretary (or you are a secretary and need to share Outlook with your boss or workmate) to have common Outlook calendars, contacts, tasks, inbox etc. Can you imagine how greatly it can facilitate your everyday work? I guess you can.
You need to share Outlook tasks with your workmate or family member. This is perfect for planning and organizing your common work. You can assign tasks and monitor them in your own computer. Your tasks lists are always up-to-date so you won’t forget to pay for the last invoice and to call your Mom on her Birthday.
You feel you have to backup Outlook to another computer. If you often think about a switched on iron left in your house or about turning on a burglar alarm when you’re off for work, you’re the guy who needs to back up your Outlook from time to time. CodeTwo Outlook Sync is also perfect for that.
Dear CodeTwo Exchange Rules users. We have just updated CodeTwo Exchange Rules 2003 to version 3.2. These are the fixes for the most common issues you have been reporting for the past few months. We did our best to meet your requirements and we do hope you will be satisfied with this release. It’s a major update since we’ve fixed 9 bugs in the application. Take a look at the list of the fixes below:
Delivery reports were not delivered for internal messages.
AD contacts were treated by the application as internal users.
In certain cases the application added the signature to encrypted messages.
In very complicated Exchange environments the application did not deliver messages to distribution groups.
When sending a message to the distribution group plus one of its members, the message could be delivered duplicated.
Messages might not be delivered to members of distribution groups if forwarding was configured between the members of these groups.
If non-standard AD attributes were used in the signature (extended AD scheme) the internal users might be treated as external.
When testing scenarios in the built-in rule tester based on membership to AD groups, the application returned an error.
Statistics files after changing the settings to non-default were reset.
In order to update CodeTwo Exchange Rules 2003 to version 3.2, simply download the program and install it on top of the existing version. The previous version will be automatically detected and patched. The update is dedicated for users of 3.x and is free of charge. Detailed information on the update procedure can be found here.
Please note! Server reboot will be required after the installation has been finished.
The contest we’ve been talking about for a month has been finished and we have just selected 15 winners who will get CodeTwo Exchange Rules – 100 licenses each! As we promised earlier, we printed all names and added them to a glass ball. It’s actually the one my wife kept a goldfish in some time ago, but it was eaten by a frog. In the memory of this little fish, we also sticked her paper friends to keep us company during the drawing.
We organized the contest together with MSExchange.org. It was a tidbit for all companies using Microsoft Exchange since CodeTwo Exchange Rules enables an amazingly easy administration of email signatures, disclaimers and marketing banners centrally on servers.

Terms: update, upgrade and migration are frequently mixed up by computer users. Some even believe upgrade and update are the same thing, whereas migration has something to do with animals or people moving from one place to the other. Nothing is more erroneous than this belief as far as IT is concerned.
Update means reinstalling a new version of the same program, provided that there is no point difference in the the version numbers. In other words, it might be installing CodeTwo Exchange Rules 2007 2 .1 on top of CodeTwo Exchange Rules 2.0.
Upgrade means reinstalling a new version of the program with different point numbers. In other words, it might be installing CodeTwo Exchange Rules 2007 2.0 on top of CodeTwo Exchange Rules 2007 1.0. Upgrades are usually payable, but the price is lower than the one you pay for buying the product.
Migration means moving from one product to the other one. It can be moving from CodeTwo Exchange Rules 2007 2.0 to CodeTwo Exchange Rules Pro 1.0. Migrations are also payable and the price of the migration is almost always lower than the cost of the standalone product.
The idea of auto-responders is not new but it turns out most of us don’t know how to use them properly, safely and, first and foremost, how to configure a server (or an email system) to send email auto replies to selected recipients or for particular addresses.
What are email auto-responders?
Email auto-responders are email replies sent automatically by servers when original recipients are unavailable or have to answer thousands of emails every day. Generally, mail auto-responders are created by (or for) people who are very busy and cannot read and write emails, are out of the office, on a holiday leave or no longer work for a given company. Frequently autoresponders are used in customer support or online sales services to instantly reply to all messages sent by clients or potential business partners. These types of auto-responders mainly are used to inform customers that their emails have been received and will be processed and answered anytime soon.
