Commento-phobia is Highly Contagious

The internet community have been recently observing a sort of commento-phobia. It all started a long time ago when internet magazines allowed their users to comment their articles. As Internet was believed to be absolutely anonymous then and naturally, it was a kick-off for giving all those article authors a bad time. I don’t say everyone was wicked and only wanted to sling mud at those people or characters of their articles, but the truth is that the sense of being totally invisible and, yet, with an amazing power of bad touch, gave all those people a chance to experiment with the ill side of their nature. Everyone has that kind of alter ego, right? How many alter egos do we have anyway? So.. What happened later?

To Like Or Not To Like…

Do you know what is now the second most popular website in the world? No, no… It isn’t what first popped into your head. Americansingels and Hustler don’t count:) We’re talking about Facebook – the biggest social networking site in the Internet. The latest research say that nearly 40% percent of Web users have already a Facebook account! So… Does anybody know what is it all about? Why this simple Mark Zuckerberg invention is now the second (after Google) most popular service in the Internet?

Microexpressions Not So Micro At All…

We need to share the news! Szymon and Gniewko, our creative colleagues from CodeTwo Marketing Department, turned out to make a unique team also in the field of music that has been their mutual passion for years. Their music is an experimental mixture of indie, synthpop, postpunk, electronica and ambient. Being precise, the Microexpressions are primarily a 2-piece band, made of Szymon Szczesniak (our Saymon) and Michal Stambulski. This duo, plus Gniewko, also works under a different name – Teodor Donut and composes mainly indie style music.

Which Universe Is Bigger?

Any questions? Ask Google. In the time of authority crisis, it’s the only place left where people want to seek the answers. It looks as if after a magical gate, unimaginable amount of knowledge was hidden and the only key to access it, was placed just next to the colorful “g” letter in the corner of our web browsers. It seems, like in most of the cases, Internet has also its second depth and it’s deeper than we have ever imagined.

CodeTwo Squad first soccer workout

Although there’s still some time left before EURO 2012 really starts in our country, we decided not to wait anymore and join the national preparations. Contrary to what you might think, we aren’t preparing another freeware which could help our builders in putting up new roads and bridges. We see our tasks where the real action happens – on the pitch, among the players.

The CodeTwo first official soccer workout was organized on last Tuesday. As usual, the members of our Squad showed their full commitment to the case and came to the meeting spot multitudinously. We could see a lot of spectacular moves on the pitch and many of them ended up with a score. The rivalry was really intense, you could tell it by the amount of bruises and strange pains which revealed among some players the following day:)

Here is a bunch of photos from our training:

Winners Take Prizes – IT Competition Finished!

As we mentioned before, CodeTwo was a lead sponsor of an IT competition held by Karkonosze College for students of local secondary schools. The rivalry was intense, but, according to the local media, many participants were trying to devise a grand strategy to take the third place in the competition in order to win Play Station 3.  The second runner-up, Lukasz Siegiet, scooped up the most desired prize – PlayStation 3 and a game gift token – founded by our company.

Rock climbing in Arco

The climbing season 2010 has started! Like last year, my wife Monika, our friends and I decided to begin it in Italy. Arco is a small town in the northern Italy with more than 50 climbing spots. It’s a great place to spend one week of vacation in early Spring. However, in the end, everyone agreed that one week was definitely too short. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining – I know that at the same time CodeTwo Team was working hard on a new release of CodeTwo Exchange Rules

Twelve hours spent in the car did not make the most enjoyable part of the trip but the landscape we could admire after reaching the target compensated our aching backs…

How fragile we are…

We would like to thank for all your words of kindness and sympathy in emails we have been receiving during our time of loss. It’s a truly sad moment for Poland and we really appreciate your thoughtfulness and caring. Thank you again.

On April 10th, 97 people died in a plane crash near Smolensk, Russia. Dozens of Poland’s military, political and church elite members were killed, including the Polish president and other dignitaries who traveled to a ceremony honoring the 22,000 Polish prisoners of war killed 70 years ago by the Soviet Union’s secret police.

CodeTwo Sponsors Polish Space Program

CodeTwo sponsors parts of a spacecraft ‘AlfaTwo’ designed by Polish Aviation and Space Exploration Agency (PASEA). ‘AlfaTwo’ is a solar sail propelled using light radiation pressure coming from the Sun. The space ship is to be launched on July 30th 2010 and its final destination is Ceres – a dwarf planet located close to the main asteroid belt.

CodeTwo sponsors ‘AlfaTwo’ sails which are now being meticulously prepared by Zaklady Lniarskie Pawian S.A. in Wykroty (Poland). The sails are crucially important parts of the construction – they will accelerate this UAV to 19 000 km/s and let it reach its target in 71 days.
