CodeTwo Exchange Rules 2010We have released a minor update versioned 2.2.5 to CodeTwo Exchange Rules 2007 and 1.1.8 to CodeTwo Exchange Rules 2010, applications used in the management of disclaimers and signatures in Exchange mail. It fixes the following minor issues in those applications:

  • Power Shell script used for manual installation of CodeTwo Sent Items Update has been improved. In some cases executing the script finished in error 21.
  • This version tackles the problem in which EWS automatically disconnected from CodeTwo Sent Items Update service.

What is more, a new feature was added to both 2007 and 2010 version of the program. It is now possible to add the EWS address manually in the configuration file in ‘EWSUrl’ key.

Our technical support has just finished testing CodeTwo Exchange Rules 2007 2.2.4 on Exchange 2007 with Service Pack 3. We are happy to announce that our program is fully compatible with this version of Exchange Server. Feel free to download and install the latest version of CodeTwo Exchange Rules 2007 no matter if you have already installed Service Pack 3 for Exchange 2007 or not.

If you need to update CodeTwo Exchange Rules 2007, simply install the latest version on top of the existing one. There is no need to reboot the server. All settings and templates will be kept.

CodeTwo Exchange Rules 2010We have released a minor update versioned 2.2.4 to CodeTwo Exchange Rules 2007 and 1.1.7 to CodeTwo Exchange Rules 2010, applications used in the management of disclaimers and signatures in Exchange mail. It fixes the following minor issues in those applications:

  • The support for multiple databases by Sent Items Update has been improved. The installer failed to install the service if there were more than one database on MS EXchange.
  • Sent Items Update did not update emails sent from external application due to the TNEF part missing.
  • Change of logic in Sent Items Update setup. Now Sent Items Update is activated after the setup is complete.
  • Change of logic for retrieving EWS service address in Sent Items Update. If the connection to the autodiscover service fails, a local address of EWS service is used.

Additionally, in the latest CodeTwo Exchange Rules 2010 version, the mechanism of  inserting the signature below the most recent reply in OWA is improved.

CodeTwo Exchange Rules 2010We have released a minor update versioned 2.2.1 to CodeTwo Exchange Rules 2007 and 1.1.3 to CodeTwo Exchange Rules 2010, applications used in the management of disclaimers and signatures in Exchange mail. It fixes the following minor issues in those applications:

  • Messages that were resent by users from the Sent Items folder and that contained attachments were delivered without attachments.
  • Messages were duplicated in the Sent Items folder if the user used the Resend option on a message.
  • Problem with access rights to IPC channel in non-English version of the server.

Have you ever had this feeling when watching old pictures that you desperately wanted to find out what is behind the hill, what sort of sabaton your great-grand-father was wearing, and how ugly was this man holding your girlfriend on a torn photograph? Most of email disclaimers software users feel the same thing when sending messages. When they look into their Sent Items folders, they know that there is something more than just the body of their messages. They know that the signature was added (hopefully it was added) on the server but they cannot see it. We have just released updated versions of CodeTwo Exchange Rules 2010 (versioned 1.1) and CodeTwo Exchange Rules 2007 (versioned 2.2), both of which introduce a new capability that enables all users to view signatures and disclaimers in their Sent Items in all mail clients. Sent Items Update will not only let end users make sure their signatures were properly added at the end of messages but also help them keep mail archives in compliance with legal regulations.

Both CodeTwo Exchange Rules 2010 and CodeTwo Exchange Rules 2007 are amongst very few applications available on the market with an option enabling to view server-added footers in Sent Items on local computers.

The update is free of charge for all CodeTwo Exchange Rules 2010 users and all customers using CodeTwo Exchange Rules 2007 2.x. An update to CodeTwo Exchange Rules 2007 versioned 2.1.3 has just been released. It fixes a few minor issues: reporting an error for a preview of the rule with no template available, time-out warnings during the installation and an error causing the program to switch to demo mode. If those bugs have been bothering you, download the update and your problem will be solved.

CodeTwo Exchange Rules 2007 2.1 – Minor Update

We have released a minor update versioned 2.1 to CodeTwo Exchange Rules 2007, an application used in the management of disclaimers and signatures in Exchange mail. The new items in the program include:

  • It is possible to split a single message sent to large number of users to insert varied disclaimers. This feature is useful when a message needs to be processed by multiple rules of CodeTwo Exchange Rules 2007, e.g. a single message need different footers for different recipients. By default a message sent to multiple users will be handled as a single message by Exchange Server. This is why inserting different footers caused a problem. This is now fixed. Read more about how to split messages addressed to multiple recipients.
  • It is possible now to add custom Active Directory fields used by the program. The file containing custom variables named SchemaExtension.txt must be placed in the installation directory of the application. The newly added variables are available in the signature editor after restarting the server. Read more about how to add new AD fields to the program.
  • Extra Active Directory cache has been added to the application. This will reduce the queries to Active Directory leading to enhanced performance.
  • New installer for a desktop installation. It is possible to install the program on a desktop without Exchange. This is useful for customers who want non-admin users without access to Exchange to prepare the settings and footer templates to be later copied to the server. A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words

Today we would like to show you yet another use for our application CodeTwo Exchange Rules. As you well know the program is used to centrally manage signatures and disclaimers for mail sent using Exchange Server. CodeTwo Exchange Rules is compatible with Exchange 2000/2003, while CodeTwo Exchange Rules 2007 is designed for Exchange Server 2007.
